【Description】
The imperial examinations were highly competitive, prompting some candidates to resort to various cheating methods, including aliases, bribery, and the most common method—smuggling in cheat sheets. These cheat sheets often came in silk or miniature book forms. Silk could be easily folded and hidden, while miniature books were easy to conceal. This exhibition showcases both types of cheat sheets, likely from the Qing dynasty. The writing on these sheets is approximately 0.5 cm square, neat, and delicate, showcasing a remarkable skill.
