This five-character couplet is another work by the Tainan Jinshi Shi Shijie. The red background with gold characters suggests it was meant for a celebratory or commendatory purpose, as indicated by the phrase "jade quality, golden appearance," praising a person or object. Although the specific purpose of the couplet is unknown due to the absence of dedication, the inscription at the bottom, "During my stay in Lu Yu," likely indicates it was created after the 1895 cession of Taiwan when Shi Shijie was serving in Xiamen.
