此件文物是清代朝廷給予科舉考試入闈者的規範，其內容大致可分為5部分，先是規定士子的衣著言行；其後是針對點名到入闈，入闈後到考試開始前的規則；最後兩部分則是針對考試過程與最後繳卷出場的規範，內容雖然只有12條，但細緻非常，對比於今日的考試不遑多讓，足以見識到政府對於國家人才選拔制度的要求與重視。
透過此份規約，可以窺知清代科舉考試時士子們入闈時的各種規則，些許還原當時考生們點名入闈與考試情景。

【Description】

 

This is a set of regulations issued by the Qing dynasty imperial court for candidates participating in the imperial examination system. The content can be broadly divided into five sections. First, it outlines the rules for the attire and conduct of scholars. Second, is the roll call for candidates entering the examination hall, and third, regulations for their conduct before the exam begins. The final two sections detail the conduct during the examination and the procedures for submitting the completed exam papers and exiting the examination hall.

Although this regulation consists of only 12 rules, its level of detail and thoroughness is remarkable. It highlights the meticulous requirements and importance placed on talent selection by the government during the Qing dynasty.
